El supermercado Lidl es una de las cadenas de supermercados de más rápido crecimiento en Europa. Su grupo objetivo son las personas con problemas económicos.Ha sido delatado muchas veces como un negocio que explota a los trabajadores y vende productos de baja calidad. Lidl intenta mejorar su imagen. En la pequeña ciudad de Bad Ems en Alemania, Lidl se encuentra en un edificio patrimonial que solía ser una fábrica. El caparazón histórico del edificio alberga y esconde ahora la cadena de supermercados. Coloco la cámara de video frente a la entrada de un supermercado Lidl, ubicado en el edificio de ladrillo.

Un agujero de gusano es un atajo a través del espacio-tiempo. Los agujeros de gusano atravesables, un desarrollo posterior de la teoría de la relatividad general, se producen cuando un pliegue en el espacio-tiempo permite conectar dos puntos del universo por los que es posible pasar. Filmo el tránsito interminable de personas que entran y salen del supermercado. Hago un agujero de gusano que va desde la galería de arte en un histórico barrio comercial central hasta el supermercado ubicado en una parte de la ciudad que pronto será aburguesada. Un agujero de gusano del centro cultural al lugar donde se replantea la noción de cultura.

Lidl supermarket is one of the fastest growing chains of supermarkets in Europe. Its target group is people who are economically strained. It has been exposed many times as a business that exploits workers and sells low quality products. Lidl tries to improve its image, I find that in the small town of Bad Ems in Germany, Lidl is housed in a heritage building that used to be a factory. The historical shell of the building houses and hides now the chain supermarket. I place the video camera facing the entrance of a Lidl supermarket, located in the brick building of a former factory.

A wormhole is a shortcut through space-time. Traversable wormholes, a further development on the theory of general relativity, occurs when a fold in space time allows to connect two points in the universe, where it is possible to go through. I film the endless transit of people in and out of the supermarket. I make a wormhole leading from the art gallery in a historical, central shopping neighborhood, to the supermarket sitting on a soon to be gentrified part of town. A wormhole from the cultural center into the place where the notion of culture is being reframed.
